An Oregon farmer sells subscriptions for his summer growing season. For a fee, the farmer delivers fresh produce to his subscribers. The farmer interviews residents of Riversdale and Roseburg to find out how much they would pay for a subscription. The same number are surveyed in each town. The number of residents who said they would purchase a subscription could be described with a linear function, where s is the number of residents who indicated they would become subscribers, and p is the yearly subscription price.
